“ The purpose of our lives is to be happy.” Dalai Lama
2019 started out just fine, my favorite kpop idol group which is “iKON” is publishing a new album in 7th of January. The songs were great and the choreography was even fantastic! The highlight of the album is the song "I'm Ok", it tells about the life struggles and relationship problems we face everyday and simply saying "I'm ok" to people even though we are not. As an iKONIC I can truly say that song is the greatest song Kim Hanbin have ever produced, he is a legend.
Next thing happened was my birthday, 3rd of February. Nothing much happened that day, my boyfriend travelled from Tarlac to Manila to celebrate with my birthday. Guessed my age yet? Hahaha I was already 21 years old by then, already an adult but I don't look like one. I celebrated with my eldest brother, his girlfriend, my tita and my boyfriend. You're may be wondering "where's my parents?", well my mom is in China right now, as I've said in my first post she's a professor there, while my dad is in Mindanao doing some business. So yes, they were not there to celebrate my birthday, but that's okay because I understand why they can't.
We went to the beach! We hardly go to beach so I was happy to go to one, it was in Zambales, I do not know the exact place but it was beautiful. It has a strong current but you can manage and there's a lifeguard so it's safe. I got the chance to take a pic of sunset there, I'm a sucker for sunsets! City, beach or terrain, anywhere is fine, because to me sunset is a symbol for a new beginning, like if you didn't have the chance to do the one thing you want that day or you are super tired, the sunset is saying to you "rest for there shall be tomorrow" and "you've done a great job, you survived" that's why sunset is my haven. 2019 was also the year my favorite niece's 18th birthday! We got to celebrate it with her, I also gifted her with the bag she loved. The party went well and during the photo shoots and preparation I got to know the team who organized it, they were really friendly and fun to be with. But then at the same time, something tragic happened to my fangirl life, Kim Hanbin, the leader and the pillar of iKON left the group because he was accused of using drugs earlier 2016, which of course is not even true, the evidence were not that strong and yet the media had the audacity to accused him with petty evidence. I remember the concert iKON had to still do after their leader left, the "mathyung" which is the eldest of them all cried during the concert while singing "wait for me" at that time, hearing him cry, cause an angel went audio live that day, hearing him hurt so much, it cuts deep, they're that transparent to know they deeply cared for their brother.
Since then we're fighting each day for Hanbin, supporting him and always be waiting for him.
Well, that wraps the highlight of my 2019, hope you enjoyed reminiscing with me. Till my next post!
